Residents entering Cornerstone begin the transition of balancing discovery and learning with practical application and skill building in day to day living, while supported by a high level of structure and accountability. The program can serve either as a stepping stone in the continuum from treatment to independent living, or as a re-immersion in recovery living for those who may have encountered set-backs or struggles.

Cornerstone Residents begin to balance on-site access to daily group and individual mentoring sessions with a return to work, school and volunteer activities as well as involvement in the vibrant local recovery community.*

In the house, residents are part of a close knit peer group in a safe, comfortable environment. They are supported by a resident manager who oversees the performance of daily assignments and assists in developing independent living skills, along with helping facilitate community involvement opportunities. The typical length of stay varies for each individual; often times, a common goal is moving on to one of Transition Homes' neighboring sober residences for a continued stay in a supportive environment. This path to recovery is one that has proven to be very effective.

We are located in the heart of a vibrant recovery community in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Twin Cities are home to hundreds of weekly 12 step meetings.

Serene Center is a continued care transitional sober living community for alcoholics and addicts in early recovery that wish to transition into a fulfilling lifestyle without cravings for addictive substances. We help people help themselves through certified therapy, education, and balanced center living guidance. We combine a sober living community with outpatient counseling services targeting relapse prevention.

The certified therapy incorporated into the transitional sober living program provides the clinical expertise to help guide the Patient through life’s stresses and manage their thought processes differently. The Counselor is able to help the Patient realize behaviors associated with relapse warning signs and construct new thought processes around situations and circumstances that, in the past, have led to the unhealthy thoughts associated with the relapse process and eventual use of alcohol and drugs. This type of counseling is very different from anything one can find inside a self-help program such as a twelve-step program: and the clinical component of a recovery program is absolutely critical for increasing the likelihood of long-term recovery.

The education component of the transitional sober living program helps the Patient learn and/or re-learn important life skills that are necessary for everyday life. Subjects such as building a balanced budget, negotiating a healthy relationship with family and friends, nutrition, and stress management are made available on an individualized basis for every Patient.

The balanced center living guidance provided by the transitional sober living program helps the Patient to develop healthy habits with regard to health, intention, spirituality, prudence, accurate-thought, love and self-efficacy. When combined with the accountability of drug testing every three days, a real sense of manageable responsibility is developed for the Patient.

A work in progress is a quality sober environment for women who are ready to do their part in starting a new way of life without the use of alcohol or controlled substances.

We as a group attend conventions, dances, beach parties, sports functions, volleyball tournaments, musician picnics, outside meetings and attend churches of many faiths. We are conveniently located in the San Fernando valley close to the beach and mountains, junior colleges, universities, libraries, horseback riding, hiking, restaurants, beautiful local parks and theaters. We are also close to public transportation, bus, trains, freeways, 101, 118, and 405.

We truly understand the importance of one woman helping another in sharing of our courage strength and help. We provide help with all aspects of court documentation, support, transportation, and appearances. Random urine analysis tests are conveniently provided on-site.

We realize if we are painstaking about this process of development we will be amazed before we are halfway through. Until we can accept that we have a problem, we cannot stay sober. Acceptance of life on life’s terms and in concentrating not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be changed in us is our attitude.

Applying the 12 steps into our daily routine is our goal and primary purpose. We offer a structure that supports maturity and growth and a mutual respect for others. At A Work In Progress the most important person is a new-comer. You do not have to travel this road alone, we are here to help. It’s Progress Not Perfection.

Serene Center is a continued care transitional sober living community for alcoholics and addicts in early recovery that wish to transition into a fulfilling lifestyle without cravings for addictive substances. We help people help themselves through certified therapy, education, and balanced center living guidance. We combine a sober living community with outpatient counseling services targeting relapse prevention.

The certified therapy incorporated into the transitional sober living program provides the clinical expertise to help guide the Patient through life’s stresses and manage their thought processes differently. The Counselor is able to help the Patient realize behaviors associated with relapse warning signs and construct new thought processes around situations and circumstances that, in the past, have led to the unhealthy thoughts associated with the relapse process and eventual use of alcohol and drugs. This type of counseling is very different from anything one can find inside a self-help program such as a twelve-step program: and the clinical component of a recovery program is absolutely critical for increasing the likelihood of long-term recovery.

The education component of the transitional sober living program helps the Patient learn and/or re-learn important life skills that are necessary for everyday life. Subjects such as building a balanced budget, negotiating a healthy relationship with family and friends, nutrition, and stress management are made available on an individualized basis for every Patient.

The balanced center living guidance provided by the transitional sober living program helps the Patient to develop healthy habits with regard to health, intention, spirituality, prudence, accurate-thought, love and self-efficacy. When combined with the accountability of drug testing every three days, a real sense of manageable responsibility is developed for the Patient.

Whether you're newly sober or just finishing a rehab program, we are here to help and share our many years of sober experience with you!

PATHWAYS TWO: Our Women's & Women w/ Children Location in Pomona starts at $500 per month for single women, $550 per month for those with 1 child and $575 per month for those with 2 children. This is a safe, clean, supportive environment! We are very serious about helping mothers get back on their feet while providing a loving, nurturing home for their children. We require mandatory meetings, random drug testing, working with a sponsor as well as working toward ultimately being a self-supporting mother who can provide a wonderful life for her child. We have a lot of fun here at the women's location and enjoy the children so much, but underneath it all we realize that our guests have come to us for help and that is exactly what we aim to do!

It is Healing Properties’ mission to provide a safe, clean and healthy living environment for male and female persons recovering from the disease of alcoholism/addiction. We offer sober housing in a centrally located area of Delray Beach, Florida. Close to meetings, jobs, Atlantic Avenue and the beautiful Florida beach. We require involvement in 12 step programs and provide random drug and alcohol testing.

We are dedicated to assisting our residents in every way possible to achieve a productive and successful livelihood while at Healing Properties. We reserve the right to be extremely selective in our screening process and are interested in residents who are motivated and serious about their recovery.

Our goal is not to be a treatment center but to help our resident’s transition from inpatient to independent living. With this in mind we are going to offer each resident a safe, healthy, sober and structured environment to implement daily living skills.

We find that by living the principles of the program of Alcoholics Anonymous in our daily lives our residents have become accountable and responsible members of the sober living community and society. Healing Properties believes that the byproduct of working with a sponsor, working the steps, going to meetings and interacting with sober supports makes the rules that we enforce almost inconsequential. Our goal is to have a community where the life experiences of our residences can be an example to the others within our community, where they can build from each other’s recovery path.

HPI is determined to be the best sober living community available, not just striving to exceed others, but genuinely basing (to the best of our abilities) our philosophies on the principles and the traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous based 12 step programs.
